Genesis Consulting embarked on its journey in 2005 with a vision: to forge strategic partnerships with churches and Christian not-for-profit organizations, fostering environments of vitality, collaboration, and productivity that radiate positive influence throughout their communities. Together Roger and Janice partner together as duo seasoned professionals with a wealth of experience spanning over four decades across the not-for-profit and business sectors.

Together, Roger and Janice's passion for mission support runs deep, manifesting not only in their professional endeavors but also in their personal lives. They have actively engaged in short-term mission trips to destinations as diverse as Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, and India, embodying their commitment to global outreach and service. Amidst their professional pursuits, Roger and Janice cherish a harmonious marriage of 40 years, blessed with the joys of parenthood to two grown children and the delightful presence of five grandchildren. In their leisure moments, they find solace and rejuvenation in the great outdoors, indulging in activities like hiking and cycling, alongside their shared love for exploration and travel. Their rich experiences and genuine zest for life infuse Genesis Consulting with a spirit of vitality and purpose, guiding their mission to uplift and empower organizations toward greater societal impact.

Roger Berg

As the Executive Pastor at Church on the Queensway, Roger assumed a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive operations of the church, managing its multimillion-dollar budget, and serving as the Executive Director of the esteemed outreach ministry, Haven on the Queensway. Beyond his local endeavors, Roger extends his influence globally through his stewardship of international missions, where he actively participates in shaping impactful initiatives. Notably, he played a key role in the establishment of a skills training center in a marginalized community in Jamaica, exemplifying his dedication to fostering empowerment and opportunity in underserved regions. Roger's professional journey spans over two decades, marked by a diverse array of experiences and accomplishments across various sectors. Beginning his career in the bustling realm of International Finance in Montreal, he swiftly expanded his horizons into the realm of education, playing an instrumental role in the establishment of a bilingual Christian School. Relocating to Toronto in 1997, Roger seamlessly transitioned into the Senior Management Team of Shepherd Village, a prominent continuum of care facility for seniors. Here, he spearheaded collaborative efforts on project teams aimed at constructing new life-lease and long-term facilities, contributing significantly to enhancing the quality of life for senior residents.In 2005, Roger's journey led him to Church on the Queensway, where he assumed the role of Executive Associate Pastor before ascending to his current position. Armed with a degree in Health Management from Ryerson University, as well as certificates in Business Management and Fellowship from the prestigious Canadian Bankers Institute at McGill University, Roger embodies a fusion of academic excellence and real-world acumen. His multifaceted expertise and unwavering commitment to service serve as pillars of strength, guiding Genesis Consulting's mission to empower organizations and communities towards greater heights of success and fulfillment.

Her profound understanding of human resources intricacies has solidified her reputation as a trusted advisor in the industry. A proud member of the esteemed Human Resources Professional Association, Janice continually strives for excellence, enriching her skill set through specialized training in business coaching at the renowned Adler Institute. This dedication to professional development underscores her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field, ensuring she delivers unparalleled service to her clients.Beyond her professional commitments, Janice embodies a spirit of mentorship and community engagement. She generously shares her knowledge and insights as a facilitator and mentor including 5 years with LeaderImpact Global, where she empowered aspiring leaders to reach their full potential. Additionally, Janice's altruistic endeavors extend to her involvement in various boards, including Kerr Street Mission, Big Sisters of Halton, and the Human Resources Association of Halton.
